Central Asian Bridal Custom

A traditional holiday celebration of love and dedication is a core Asian wedding custom. Despite the 60 to 70 centuries of Soviet/russian rule, some customs have survived and even been revived by nomadic individuals who want to respect their grandparents. The meeting consists of many stages, including matching, conference of the in- laws and encounter of bride and groom, a lively feast in the bride’s home and seeing off the bride.

The primary stage is the so- called “bride’s farewell party”. The bride and her community carry a huge bash where melodies are sung and anyone drinks koumiss. Then the wedding is masked with a shroud and escorted to her new dad’s camp uzbekistan brides in a procession. The ali oversees the complete celebration.

The groom presents his wife’s female relatives with gifts on the day of the wedding ( nikokh ), and the two families prepare for a lavish feast. The groom even contributes a sizable dowry known as the jasau in some regions of the nation. It is comprised of horses, cattle, funds, embelleshment and clothes.

For a ceremony referred to as” Kelin Salom” or” Salom Beru,” the bride wears a traditional dress and veil to the wedding reception. She next bows obediently to her older family and in-laws. She bids her farewells to her happy youth by embracing marriage in this ceremony.

His father-in-law had previously prepared a bed and put on twelve bowls of rice as an omen of fertility and longevity for the couple after the official wedding ceremony ( nikokh ) took place in the groom’s house. The babies of the newly married couple therefore scramble for these grains, pistachios, fruits, and grapes.
